During the construction of Antik Hotel Istanbul, a Late Roman – Early Byzantine period, 1500 years old cistern has been discovered.

The flats are named after the city's historical periods as Byzantion, Constantinopolis, Konstantiniyye and Istanbul. While some of the artifacts in the cistern were delivered to the Istanbul Archeology Museum, some of them are still exhibited in the hotel.
